Participants Needed for an Interview Study at University of Washington, Seattle

Are you a person with a mobility impairment OR a caregiver for a person with a mobility impairment OR part of an advocacy organization for pedestrians such as people with mobility impairments? Here is a chance to contribute to the next generation of accessible maps!

Our team is conducting a research study starting April 8, 2019 to better understand how people assess street and sidewalk accessibility.

We are looking for participants who must be at least 18 years old, have no vision (including color vision) impairments (use of corrective lenses are acceptable), and be either a:

  1. Person using one or more of the following mobility aids: (i) manual wheelchair, (ii) electric wheelchair or scooter, or (iii) other manual assistive aids (e.g., cane or walker) [Interested! How to participate?]
  2. Person taking care of someone with a mobility impairment either as a professional or as a family member/friend [Interested! How to participate?]
  3. Person working at an advocacy organization having an interest towards improving sidewalk accessibility [Interested! How to participate?]
